Barefoot Kuata Island Resort Fiji is located on Kuata Island part of the Yasawa group of islands. The Yasawa Islands are volcanic in origin and characterised by stunning mountainous peaks up to 600m in height, beautiful beaches and crystal clear lagoons.
Ferry Transfers
The Yasawa Flyer ferry departs daily from Port Denarau. Departing in the morning you'll arrive around 10.45am. This scenic transfer takes you through the Mamanuca Islands before connecting with the Yasawas. When returning to Nadi or Denarau on your day of departure you'll leave in the afternoon around 3.45pm. If you're departing from Barefoot Kuata Island Resort Fiji for a northern Yasawa destination you'll depart around 10.45am.

Beachfront Rai Ki Waya Bure:
The Beachfront Rai Ki Waya Bures, ideal for couples, honeymooners or weddings, lead directly onto the beach offering stunning beach and seascape views with Yasawa islands in the background. Bures (rooms) are well ventilated, fan cooled with a Queen bed configuration and the ability to add a single bed or bunk to accommodate a family.
Each bure features a handcrafted outdoor tropical bathroom clad in tall reeds for privacy with a sandstone elevated bath open to the sky and stars by night. Cots available, linen and towels provided with daily room service.

The Beachfront Levu Bures are the largest bure (room) ideal for couples, friends or a family of up to 2 adults and 3 children. Bures offer picture postcard South Pacific sea & island views in the privacy of a garden setting complete with their own private beach access. Bures feature a shaded private deck area with an outdoor setting, are fan-cooled with en suite shower under the stars bathroom. Cots available, linen and towels provided with daily room service.

The Awakening Shark Dive
Departing twice a day the 'Awakening Shark Dive' is a new-age shark dive designed by Marine Biologist and shark authority Dr. Thomas Vignaud. Over 3 years in it's planning and design 'The Awakening Shark Dive' is a thrilling adventure that both certified and introductory (non-certified) divers can experience. Ecological best practice ensures the dive has no negative impact on the sharks combined with strict OHS best practice to ensure diver safety.
Snorkelling with Fiji Sharks
Barefoot Kuata Island Resort operates Snorkelling with Fiji Sharks tours (pending sea conditions) daily. You'll travel 20 minutes on a boat to Moia Reef where you'll encounter resident Reef Sharks. This is an escorted tour where Barefoot Kuata Island Resort's experienced and knowledgable dive team will look after you and introduce you to Moia Reef's resident population of friendly and inquisitive Reef Sharks.

Barefoot Kuata Island Resort Fiji offers a range of experiences and activities. The island location surrounded by warm, crystal clear waters is ideal for snorkeling, watersports and diving. There are daily scheduled on-island activities too that houseguests are welcome to join. There are organised tours including snorkeling with sharks, Fijian village visits plus a range of free daily activities too, including guided walks, Fijian handicrafts lessons and more.
